Professional Background
Leitess Leitess Friedberg + Fedder, P.C. – founding member of law firm practicing in business organizations, complex finance transactions, commercial finance and equipment leasing, 1992-present. Regularly represents large manufacturers, asset based lenders and equipment leasing companies in negotiation, documentation, litigation, collateral realization, loan collection and lease enforcement. Actively engaged in structured finance, Uniform Commercial Code opinions and bankruptcy.

Areas of Concentration
The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), International Chamber of Commerce rules, insolvency, certificates of title and other laws relating to secured lending, manufacturing and business organizations.
Lectures extensively on secured transactions and other Uniform Commercial Code topics, as well as bankruptcy to groups that include the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education for Lawyers.
Chaired the May 2001 Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys (ACFA) continuing legal education weekend on Revised UCC Article 9.
 
Bar Association Memberships and Educational Activities
Maryland Commissioner to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL) and:
Is a member of NCCUSL's Uniform Certificate of Title Drafting Committee, and
Advises the Maryland General Assembly on enactment of uniform laws.
Maryland State Bar Association - Past Chair of the Business Law Section, for which he chaired the Joint Task Force that helped obtain enactment of Revised Article 9 of the UCC.
American Bar Association activities - include appearing on a Satellite Seminar on Asset-Based Lending and served as panelist discussing valuation of collateral. Currently officer of Commercial Financial Services Committee of Business Law Section.
Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys - past president and over eight years of active participation as ACFA official observer to the UCC Article 9 Drafting Committee.
American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers - past president and chair of various committees.
